A New Chapter

On November 19, the Dakotas conference will hold a special session to approve the disaffiliation agreements of churches separating from the United Methodist (UM) denomination. At this pivotal moment, some will grieve, some will celebrate, and some may not know what to feel. To some, the UM is just a name; for others, it is the only church they have ever known. Wherever you are on the spectrum, we pray that you remember that our mission (To know Christ, and make Him known) still unifies us.

Consider Paul's words from the Scriptures:

"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." - Colossians 2:15

WOW! What a message of hope! We have hope when facing the anxiety and uncertainty of disaffiliation, elections, the economy, politics, and various social issues. I encourage you to put your hope in the One who gave it all and rose from the grave victorious! Any stress or fears we feel, we can take to Jesus because His yoke is easy, and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).

In Christ, Pastor Henry
